My Crazy Hobbies

Β

I love this ring and the majestic feeling I get whenever I sport it. It gives such a petite look to my fingers πŸ™‚

I have the same number in green too although this one looks far more elegant.

I mostly use the ‘daisy chain ‘ style for the finger straps (which is not visible here).

Β

Β These kind of rings do not have a specific weaving rule. You need to use your imagination and hit and trial methods to get the perfect design that you want.

I would suggest the Auntie’s Beads channel on You Tube if you want to learn the basics. Their instructor is just amazing πŸ™‚

My Crazy Hobbies

ImageA big neck piece that was actually ordered by my mom πŸ™‚ but she hardly wears it saying that its too gaudy for regular wear. maybe I shouldn’t have given those frills but I just couldn’t stop myself from experimenting.

Here the whole black part of the neck lace I did with the herringbone stitch ( its kind of my favorite :)) and the rest are simple fringes.

Β

P.S The design was inspired from a beading magazine

My Crazy Hobbies

The daintiest piece i have ever made :O But it was worth all the effort I gave. I wish my photographic talents were as great as my weaving but I guess the picture is decent. The technique used here is known as the African Helix Stitch. When you learn it from a book it might get confusing but try it from a video on You Tube and you will get the hang of it. Trust me, this weaving technique is super addictive πŸ˜‰
